Character-Based Interactive Music Visualization

Dancing Bear is an interactive, character-based music visualization. It senses a users skeletal poses and gestures to allow the user to interact with the character and scene. A custom music analyzer parses an input song and gives users a visual representation of the music. This prototype uses Kinect v2.0 and Unity. C#. I was responsible for sensor integration as well as interactive design and implementation.

Dancing Bear will save interesting dances it finds and show them to other users. If deployed at events (festivals, concerts, parties), it should be a living memory of the people its interacted with.

It was installed at FractalFest in 2016.
